Chana Chiesa: A Trailblazer in Community Engagement and Fundraising

Chana Chiesa

Chana Chiesa has a way of making people feel seen. As the Fundraising Manager for the Chargers Impact Fund, she creates opportunities for under-resourced communities, proving that one person can inspire meaningful change. Her career is a testament to the power of connection and purpose.

Her background in Human Development from California State University, Long Beach, gave her the tools to understand how people thrive. Graduating magna cum laude, Chana didn’t just learn about human behavior—she used it to drive her work forward. “I’ve always believed that people are at their best when they feel supported,” Chana says. “My mission is to create that support.”

And create she has. From building partnerships to managing impactful programs, her work consistently supports those in need. But it’s not just about helping others—it’s about bringing people together to make it happen.

The Chargers Impact Fund and Beyond

Chana’s work with the Chargers Impact Fund focuses on reducing barriers for under-resourced neighborhoods. The Fund has helped countless families access better opportunities. “We don’t just fund programs; we build bridges,” Chana explains. “Every dollar raised goes toward creating a stronger, more connected community.”

One standout project was the 5th Annual Chargers Golf Invitational. This event raised significant funds for local programs, showcasing Chana’s knack for combining fun and philanthropy. Statistics back up the importance of efforts like these. According to a 2023 study by the National Philanthropic Trust, charitable giving accounted for $484.85 billion in 2021 alone, with community foundations playing a major role.

But Chana’s contributions extend beyond her role at the Chargers. She has worked with organizations like CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), helping children in foster care find stable, loving homes. Her passion for advocacy shows in everything she does.

Building Brands with Heart

Chana’s leadership doesn’t stop at fundraising. She founded Brand-Aid-Society, a company focused on corporate social responsibility (CSR). Through this venture, she helped businesses create campaigns that combined growth with giving back. “CSR isn’t just a buzzword,” Chana says. “It’s how businesses can leave the world better than they found it.”

Her ability to balance strategy with heart made Brand-Aid-Society a success. The company raised millions for causes ranging from education to environmental sustainability. It’s no wonder her efforts earned recognition, including the Alice Hurst “Visionary” Award.

This award wasn’t just about her accomplishments—it was about her approach. Chana knows that real change comes from listening to people and finding creative ways to solve problems.

Community First, Always

Chana’s involvement in local organizations highlights her passion for service. Whether she’s organizing the largest paddle-out event for the Guinness World Records with the Huntington Beach International Surf Museum or volunteering with the Surfrider Foundation, her actions speak louder than words.

“Community is where everything starts,” Chana says. “When we work together, we can create solutions that last.”

Her work with the Tim Tebow Foundation’s “Night to Shine” event is a perfect example. This annual prom for individuals with special needs brings joy to families across the country. Chana’s role in coordinating logistics and rallying volunteers ensured every guest felt like royalty. The event’s success shows how much can be achieved when communities come together.

Fighting Hunger with Waste Not OC

Food insecurity is another issue close to Chana’s heart. Her work with Waste Not OC, a coalition aimed at reducing food waste and feeding families, demonstrates her commitment to practical solutions. By partnering with restaurants, grocery stores, and nonprofits, the initiative ensures surplus food reaches those who need it most.

Studies from Feeding America reveal that 1 in 8 Americans faces hunger, making programs like Waste Not OC essential. Chana sees this work as both urgent and rewarding. “Hunger isn’t just a statistic—it’s someone’s reality,” she says. “If we can redirect resources to change that, why wouldn’t we?”

Lessons from a Life of Service

Through her many roles, Chana has learned valuable lessons about leadership and compassion. She credits her success to staying curious, being adaptable, and focusing on what matters. “Every challenge is an opportunity,” she says. “The key is to stay open to new ideas and collaborate with others.”

Her work has inspired countless individuals and organizations to get involved in their communities. Whether through fundraising, advocacy, or direct action, Chana believes everyone has something to contribute.

What’s Next?

Chana continues to expand her impact, finding innovative ways to bring people together. Her efforts remind us that leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about action. As she looks to the future, one thing is clear: Chana’s commitment to making a difference is unwavering.

“I’m just getting started,” she says with a smile. “There’s always more we can do when we work together.”

In a world that often feels disconnected, Chana Chiesa stands out as a unifying force. Her work proves that compassion, paired with strategy, can change lives. And for that, she’s a leader worth celebrating.
